Allison Kauffman is the owner and lead groomer at Dogs Applaws, bringing over 20 years of experience to every appointment. She offers calm, one-on-one grooming with both salon and mobile options, so pets are in and out quickly. Outside the shop, she shares her home with dogs, hermit crabs, frogs, and a Betta fish.

I wish there were a higher rating to give! Allison (and her son) was able to get a grooming done on my near impossible Poodle ..... all 5 lbs. of him. His previous groomer asked me not to return with him due to liability. After all he's going on 20 yrs. old and he's completely deaf so there is no reasoning or consoling him and I was at the point of having to have my Vet tranq. him to get the job done. Then I meet Allison and she was/is our savior!! They came to my house and with lots of patience, got the job done. I am so grateful to her and look forward to the next time! Picture to follow.

Our first time coming and Allispn did a wonderful job on the cut and nails. I go to a groomer in florida but recommend this place to anyone in Maine.

I had my regular groomer cancel on me last minute and Allison was willing to fit us in right when we needed it. She did a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the southern Maine area. She was great with Star, who can be a little nervous and she was quick and efficient. Star is looking lovely after her time with her. Five stars all the way!
